ReStory just launched their playable Demo as part of this June's Steam NextFest, and yes it does say "Request Access", implying it's strict and invite only, but I clicked them and the invite + download is available instantly.
The premise is simple but captivating, the year is 2000, you open a small repair/restoration shop in the streets of Tokyo, meeting customer people from all walks of life with their own broken gadgets; and their story behind it.

Interactions aren't limited to just repairing but also browsing the early net to shop for parts/tools, upgrades, and checking on client.
On top of that it has a deep story driven narrative similar to "Coffee Talk" or "Papers, Please", your decision to a character matters and will impact the story later on.

So if you have deep appreciation for vintage electronics or curious what assortment of gadget people use in their daily routine 26 years ago, now would be a good time to play the demo and see if it clicks with your kind of cozy, since there's a high probability the demo will be taken down once the full game is out.
But if you do tried it don't forget to provide survey to the Devs during this playtest, it helps them a ton and you might even suggest what other device could be put into the game :D
