1. Eligibility

Age Requirement

The Services are intended only for individuals aged thirteen (13) years or older. If you are under 13, you may only use the Services with verified parental consent, which is confirmed via parental email verification. By registering or using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement.

Worldwide Availability

The Services are available worldwide, but are currently provided only in the English language. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the Services complies with all laws and regulations applicable to you.

2. Accounts and Registration

Account Creation

To use certain features, you must register for an account using a username (real names are not required). Third-party login via Google account is currently supported. You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information.

Multiple Accounts

You may create more than one account; however, you may not use multiple accounts to circumvent enforcement actions, engage in abusive conduct, or otherwise violate these Terms.

Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. User Content and License

Ownership

Users retain ownership of the content they submit, including reviews, tier lists, videos, comments, and other contributions ("User Content").

License to GameTyr

By submitting User Content, you grant GameTyr a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, host, store, copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, and create derivative works of such content in connection with the Services, our business operations, and promotional purposes.

Permissioned Use

GameTyr may create derivative content (e.g., promotional videos) based on User Content, but will do so only with the explicit permission of the user.

Responsibility

You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to grant the above license and that your User Content does not infringe or violate any third-party rights.

4. Prohibited Content and Conduct

Prohibited Content

Users may not submit or engage in the following: Hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or threats. False or misleading information ("misinformation"). Explicit sexual content, nudity, or pornography. Excessive or malicious political propaganda. Content that infringes on intellectual property rights. Spam, malware, or fraudulent activities.

Limited Allowances

Non-explicit, artistic, or mild NSFW content and political commentary may be permitted if not malicious, hateful, or excessively propagandistic.

Video Sharing

Shared videos must originate from the user's own YouTube account linked to GameTyr. Direct uploads are not permitted.

Enforcement

GameTyr reserves the right to remove, restrict, or take action against any content or behavior that violates these Terms.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

Moderation Tools

GameTyr employs automated moderation systems, including third-party services (such as OpenAI), and user reporting mechanisms to detect prohibited content.

Admin Rights

Administrators have the authority to review, edit, or remove content primarily in cases of Terms violations. Such actions are at GameTyr's discretion.

Enforcement Actions

Enforcement may include warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of accounts.

Legal Cooperation

GameTyr may cooperate with law enforcement and disclose information if required by law or if illegal activity is suspected.

6. Intellectual Property

GameTyr Content

All non-user content, including but not limited to reviews written by staff, tier list templates, scoring frameworks, AI features, branding, logos, designs, and overall site structure, are owned exclusively by GameTyr.

Permitted Use

Users may share or redistribute GameTyr content provided proper credit and attribution are given.

Prohibited Use

Unauthorized copying, redistribution without credit, reverse engineering, or exploitation of GameTyr content is strictly prohibited.

7. Payments and Monetization

Current Status

The Services are currently free to use.

Future Monetization

GameTyr may introduce subscriptions, memberships, advertisements, or the sale of digital goods (including games). If introduced, additional payment terms and refund policies will be provided.

Advertisements

Users acknowledge that advertisements may be displayed as part of the Services.

8. Privacy and Data

Data Collection

GameTyr collects certain personal information including, but not limited to, email address, date of birth, username, Google account information, and activity logs.

Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are used for personalization and analytics with user consent. We will not use cookies for targeted advertising without prior user consent.

Data Rights

Users have the right to back up and delete their account data at any time.

9. Third-Party Services

Integration

GameTyr integrates services from Google, YouTube, and OpenAI. By using the Services, you agree to comply with their respective terms and policies.

Disclaimer

GameTyr is not responsible for interruptions, outages, or issues caused by these third-party services.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

No Warranty

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

No Guarantee

GameTyr does not guarantee the accuracy of information, uninterrupted service, or error-free functionality.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GameTyr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the use of the Services.

User Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and any content you access or post.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Arbitration

Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration, conducted on an individual basis, in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

No Class Actions

You agree that disputes may only be brought in your individual capacity, and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Governing Law

Unless otherwise required by local law, these Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with general principles of law applicable to online services.

12. Suspension and Termination

Termination by GameTyr

GameTyr reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Services, or your account, at its sole discretion. In the event of a permanent shutdown of the Services, reasonable prior notice will be provided.

Termination for Cause

Accounts may be terminated in cases of repeated or severe violations of these Terms.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease, and certain provisions of these Terms shall survive.

13. Changes to Terms

Right to Modify

GameTyr may amend or update these Terms at any time.

Effective Date

Minor updates are effective immediately upon posting. Significant changes will be announced through site-wide notification or email prior to taking effect.

Continued Use

Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Miscellaneous Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and other referenced documents, constitute the entire agreement between you and GameTyr.

Severability

Waiver
