After more than two years in Early Access, Palworld is finally preparing for its full Version 1.0 launch. Developer Pocketpair has officially confirmed that the game will leave Early Access on July 10, 2026, marking what the studio describes as the largest update in the game's history. The announcement was first revealed during Summer Game Fest 2026, accompanied by Palworld's first cinematic trailer before being expanded upon through the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The Biggest Update Palworld Has Ever Received
According to Pocketpair's latest post on X, Version 1.0 is far more than a typical content update. The developer highlighted several major additions that aim to make the survival and creature-collecting experience feel significantly more complete.
Version 1.0 will introduce a massive number of new Pal species, giving players even more companions to collect, train, and utilize in combat or base operations. The update will also expand the world with vast new areas to explore, each bringing fresh discoveries, challenges, and opportunities for adventure.
Beyond new content, Pocketpair promises a greatly evolved battle system that aims to make combat deeper and more engaging. Base building is also receiving significant improvements, including new water-based construction options that offer players greater creative freedom when designing their settlements.
The full release will further strengthen Palworld's narrative through story-driven continuous missions, providing a more structured sense of progression. Combined with a large-scale overhaul affecting virtually every part of the game, Version 1.0 is shaping up to be the most comprehensive update Palworld has received since entering Early Access.
Pocketpair summed it up simply by calling Version 1.0 "The Largest Update Ever," encouraging players to begin a brand-new adventure on July 10.

More Than Just New Content
While Palworld has already built a massive community thanks to its blend of creature collecting, survival crafting, exploration, and automation, Version 1.0 appears focused on refining the entire experience rather than simply adding more content.
The expanded battle system suggests combat will become deeper than it has been throughout Early Access, while improvements to building mechanics, especially water-based construction (give creative players even more freedom when designing elaborate settlements).
Meanwhile, the addition of continuous story missions signals Pocketpair's intention to make progression feel more structured, something many players have hoped to see as the game moves into its full release.

A New Beginning for Palworld
Version 1.0 also represents the end of Palworld's Early Access journey, which began in January 2024. Since then, Pocketpair has steadily expanded the game through frequent updates, introducing new Pals, islands, raids, quality-of-life improvements, and gameplay systems based on community feedback.
The full release is expected to serve as the definitive starting point for both returning veterans and newcomers. With new regions, additional creatures, revamped gameplay systems, and a stronger narrative focus arriving together, and could be the most significant milestone in Palworld's lifecycle so far.
