Paralives is almost ready to enter Early Access on May 25, 2026, bringing one of the most anticipated life simulation games of the year to Steam for PC and Mac. The official FAQ confirms the release date, while the press kit describes Paralives as a doll-house life simulation indie game where players can build homes, create characters, and manage their lives across an open world town. The game is also confirmed as single-player, with Steam Workshop support for user-created content.
What makes Paralives stand out is its mix of cozy life sim design and deep social systems. On day one of Early Access, the game is set to include an open world town, social interactions, relationship development, personality traits, emotions, wants, needs, career progression, character autonomy, and more, giving players plenty of room to shape their own virtual lives. The studio also says its build mode will let players work with curved walls, object resizing, custom colors, and flexible construction tools, which should appeal to fans of both life simulation and house building games.
Behind the project is a long development story. In the team’s November 2025 message, creator Alex Massé said Paralives had been in development for over six years, starting with 2–3 developers and later growing to an average team of around 10 people; the press kit now lists the studio at 15 employees. The team also delayed the release to May 25, 2026 so it could polish the simulation side of the game, fix important bugs, and improve the first-time player experience before launch.
With its Steam Early Access launch now close, Paralives is positioning itself as a major Sims-like alternative, combining cozy open-world living, social simulation, and powerful build tools into one highly watched indie release.
