In Rage, players emerge from an Ark into the Wasteland, taking jobs from hub towns, clearing bandit lairs, and upgrading guns, ammo types, and a combat buggy to survive Authority patrols and mutant swarms. Races, crafting, and side missions stitch together tightly designed combat arenas linked by dangerous road routes. Positioned as id’s tech showpiece, it fused punchy gunplay with vehicular sandboxes and megatexture vistas.
